As an option the 2011 MINI Cooper S Countryman and MINI Cooper D Countryman are available with permanent MINI ALL4 all-wheel drive, an electrohydraulic differential positioned directly on the final drive varying the distribution from front to rear in an infinite process. The MINI Countryman furthermore comes as standard with DSC Dynamic Stability Control, DTC Dynamic Traction Control coming either as an option or as a standard feature on the MINI Cooper S Countryman and the MINI Cooper D Countryman with ALL4, as well as an electronic limited-slip function for the front axle differential.

On the 2011 MINI Cooper S Countryman the rear air dam works as a diffuser, guiding the flow of air beneath the rear of the car to optimize its aerodynamic qualities. The most powerful model in the range also stands out through its special roof spoiler, a twin-chamber exhaust system and striking openings in the rear wheel arches.

Sports seats are featured as standard on the 2011 MINI Cooper S Countryman (optional on the Cooper) and offer two different combinations of cloth/leather seating as well as various choices of all-leather upholstery as an option. A particular highlight is the top-of-the-line Lounge Leather upholstery that is reminiscent of classy leather seats with piping seen in classic British cars.

Compared with the MINI Cooper, the MINI Cooper S Countryman has a more sporting suspension set-up, and as an option both models are available with a sport suspension for an even higher standard of driving pleasure.

The Mini Cooper S Countryman is also very efficient, with EPA 2011 estimates of 25/32 City/Highway for a combined rating of 28 mpg. The Cooper S ALL4 achieves 25 City / 31 Highway / and 27 Combined. All fuel economy numbers are for models equipped with manual transmission.

Final pricing will be announced at a later date, but the base MSRP for the MINI Cooper Countryman will be $22,350 (including $700 D&H), and a well-equipped 2011 MINI Cooper S Countryman with ALL4 will be less than $30,000.
