The BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe four-door, 4+1 seat will be offered as three models in USA. The 640i Gran Coupe with TwinPower Turbo 6-cyinder engine is the initial model and arrives early this summer while the TwinPower Turbo V-8 powered 650i Gran Coupe and the AWD 650i xDrive Gran Coupe will join the range later in the summer.

The upgraded TwinPower Turbo 6-Cylinder (N55HP) engine in the BMW 640i Gran Coupe is now produces maximum power output of 315 hp/225 kW at 5800 to 6000 rpm with peak torque of 330 lb.-ft. at 1300 – 4500 rpm. The 3.0 liter 6-cylinder engine accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 5.4 seconds with electronically top speed limited at 155 mph.

The upgraded 4.4 liter V8 engine (N63Tu) in the 650i Gran Coupe produces maximum power output of 445 hp between 5500 and 600 rpm and maximum torque of 480 lb.-ft. between 2000 and 4500 rpm. The new 650i Gran Coupe accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds with electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. The combined V8 with the xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive makes the 650i xDrive Gran Coupe sprint form 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.5 seconds. The engines can be mated with the 8-speed Sport Automatic transmission.

The BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe is equipped with the lightweight floating caliper brakes feature vented discs and DSC and sits on the standard 8.0 x 18 inch light-alloy wheels with all season runflat tires (size 245/45 R18) and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The BMW 6-series Gran Coupe interior features the driver focused cockpit design. Standard equipment includes Navigation Systme Professional, iDrive operating system which come with 10.2 inch high definition display bordered by a galvanished chrome surround.

The new BMW 650i Coupe is available with a great variety of driver assistance systems and mobility services from BMW ConnectedDrive. The comprehensive Driver Assistance Package includes Lane Departure Warning, Active Blind Spot Detection, Rear and Top View cameras, Parking Assistant, and the new three-dimensional, full-color Head-Up Display that premiered in the 6 Series Convertible last year.

The BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe M Sport package is offered with the feature that includes M aerodynamics package with uniquely designed front fascia, side skirts and rear fascia. The M Sport package also includes exhaust tips in black chrome, black-painted brake callipers, LED foglamps, a sports exhaust system for the BMW 650i Gran Coupe and 19-inch light-alloy wheels in M double-spoke design. 20-inch light-alloy wheels in M double-spoke design are also available as a package upgrade. Optional paint finishes for the BMW 6-Series M Sport package includes Carbon Black metallic and Imola Red non-metallic.
